Party for New Business- Going Green

Yesterday I had a successful home party to officially launch my new business. Thank you to all my friends who came to support me!!!! I also want thank those who ordered stuff without even coming!!!
Along with the fantastic make-up line the biggest seller was the Snap products. I am trying to go green in my house. I use this multi-purpose cleaner everywhere and it even gets red wine out of fabric and carpet. I have the same bottle for over 1 year now. It only cost $10.50. I am so busy placing the orders and doing 5 loads of laundry there is not much time for blogging today. Check out my jsshopping website (see above) if you are interested in going green too!!!
Don't make fun of the artwork I am doing the best I can being a newbe and all.

Hooray for What!!!!

So my brother (The one with Red Hair) is an actor and he is in this show "Hooray for What" at the Medicine Theater in Manhattan. It is a revival of a 1937 anti-war musical. It was quite funny but the show was very long and dated. We still had a great time watching him on stage. The best part of the show was my brother. Of course I am a bit partial but check out his reviews.

As the comic centerpiece of the oddball scientist, Mike Lesser works very hard and it pays off. He turns in a very high-energy, savvy, madcap comedy pro performance that is the show’s saving grace and more. He’s terrific. His nutty Marx Brothers style of performance, his wild look, his excellent timing and rubber face are pure daffy delight.

With a shock of Brillo-textured red hair, a chirpy, nasal voice and a sunny face as comically expressive as Harpo Marx, Mike Lesser turns in a rip-roaring performance as Chuckles without a whiff of Ed Wynn. He's especially funny when reacting to the audience's lack of response on occasions when dated jokes about forgotten subjects fly over everyone's head.

Mike, we are so proud of you keep up the great work.

Belated Wish List Wednesday

So I just got back from partly sunny/rainy Florida. I will say that we did get into our bathing suits every day we were there. It is certainly better than the cold New York weather. We had such a wonderful time catching up with our old friends and having our children really get to know one another. My son even wrote about our trip for the school news and wrote that he loves them. I had tears in my eyes. We had a wonderful time!!!!

I was tagged by my friend Kwana . She is letting me off the hook because I am soo busy this week. I still haven't unpacked or put all of the laundry away. Maybe next time.

I am a little late for Wish List Wednesday but I feel I must keep the fans happy!!!

Some New Wishes:

1. Traveling more often - the memories are always so wonderful
2. Organizing this messy desk
3. Finally putting away all the clothes from our vacation
4. Enjoying the next couple of months with the kids - (they are going to sleep away camp for 7 1/2 weeks)
5. Hoping James gets kicked out of Big Brother this Sunday!!!

I am off to making dinner and putting away some of these clothes. I then have pick up a bunch of boxes of girls scout cookies, pick up my daughter from a play date , pick up 5 boys from a baseball clinic and finally dropping them all off!!! I am exhausted just thinking about it!!!

Wish List Wednesday

It's been a crazy couple of days getting ready to leave for Florida tomorrow. Unfortunately I don't have much time for blogging. I decided I couldn't miss Wish List Wednesday!!! Yesterday I took my mom for a colonoscopy. She is high risk because four years ago she had stage 3 lung cancer. Today she is cancer free and yesterday the Doctor came out to me and said her colon is clean and she doesn't need to come back for 5 years. So my wish for today is that good health continues for my mom. She has been amazingly strong over the last couple of years. Looking forward to spending a couple of days with some great friends in Florida. I guess my second wish would be sunny skies in Florida!!!

Lunching With The Ladies/Happy St. Patrick's Day

After putting in my 4th load of laundry I did a fast shopping at Syms. I was very successful last year with a bunch of tankinis. They have a large selection of designer tankini bathing suits that were last year's fashions. I don't care when it came out I just care about how they fit. Of course I have 17 different versions of black tankinis. The price tag on these suits are from $80 to about $120 and Syms sells them for .......$29!!!!! After trying on about 10, 2 fit and looked pretty darn good. The reason for the rush for a new suit is we are heading to Florida for Easter weekend to visit some friends. Weather permitting I plan on playing in the pool and beach the whole time.

I then pick up my gals Patricia and Kwana to go for a birthday lunch for my dear friend Patricia. I haven't been feeling great but a little dose of the ladies and I always feel so much better. Lunch was great. I had a yummy portabella mushroom & Gorgonzola salad. The waiter threw in the chocolate mousse cake for free.
Happy Birthday Patricia!!!! I hope you had a wonderful day!!!!

I am now cooking corn beef and cabbage in honor of St. Patty's day and my house smells great!!!
I can't wait for dinner!!!

Clean-Up Day!!!

So this morning I got up early (note I am not a morning person) and helped clean up our town with my daughter. We went around our town with a large garbage bag, rubber gloves, and I of course put on the orange vest. I totally embarassed my daughter but I didn't care. I literally stoped traffic. Since we live in a very small town we knew everybody driving by and doing errands in town. They all wanted to know what I got arrested for!!! It was very rewarding. The children even got a free a slice of pizza and soda donated from our 2 local pizza places.

Just want to give a shout out to my friend Jill whose Birthday is today!!!!
Happy Birthday!!!

Thank G-d it's Friday

I may ramble on because I just had 2 glasses of wine with dinner. Had a great day. Instead of doing my usual spinning class I took a walk with a friend. I thought it would save some time and be a bit easier. Well, I was wrong. My friend walks so fast and chooses all the steepest hills in the neighborhood. I am sure my tushy will hurt tomorrow.

Had Chinese and did some shopping with another friend. I helped her comb the racks. You know go into a discount store and find quality trendy items. We found her a cool dress and shirt. That is one of my favorite things to do!!!

I then had 2 of my daughter's friends come over for a play date and dinner before their 5th grade activity night. I need to do this more often. Boy do you learn a lot just hanging out in the kitchen with them.

Finally, had a nice Shabbat dinner with the hubby and the son. It is nice to have one child to ourselves.

Just waiting for the tween to get home. Hopefully she had fun.

Reality TV - Haven!!! - Spoiler Alert

So last night was a reality TV junkie's dream. First big Brother. Boy what a twist. I wanted James out and I also voted to have Alex brought back into the house. I was with America this time. Not only is James back in but on Showtime after hours they show the winner of the HOH and it was James!!!!

2nd - American Idol. No surprises there. I picked the bottom three along with America again. 2 in a row I am not usually on board with America. I must be conforming...

3rd- America's Top Chef. I just loved every minute. There was a clear loser in this challenge. Good thing it airs late otherwise I would be raiding my kitchen. Some of the food looked soooo delicious.

Onto tonight looking forward to Survivor.

Any other reality TV Junkies???

Wish List Wednesday

I was with my knitting buddies this morning (really a rap session) and they said I need to start putting my wishes on my blog so my blog name makes sense.

After seeing the crazy video "The Secret" I did create a visualization book. It is my book of wishes. My children and I created books for oursleves a couple of months ago. So far 2 wishes have already come true.... I got my 42" Plasma TV in my room and we just went on the Queen Mary 2 during President's weekend break. In my book I have a picture of myself in a bikini .... I will let you know when this wish comes true.... I have been doing double classes at the gym and I think it is working slowly.

Today I am adding 2 more things to my book. A laptop ( so I can blog in any room) and an ipod nano(to listen to books on CD). My shuffle can't do it.

I will keep you posted all all wishes that come true!!!

Own A Virtual Shopping Mall/ Non- Prescription Allergy Relief

I got into this business because I tried this one product called OPC-3 for allergies sold through Market America. At first I was a bit skeptical but my brother literally stopped taking his weekly allergy shot. I have now been taking it for over a year and I do not have to take any prescription drugs for allergies. I was taking a nasal spray twice a day and a pill every day of my life.

I wanted to share this with my friends so I joined the business. All my friends and family that are taking OPC-3 feel great and are no longer on any prescription drugs. I now use about 20 other products that I love because I am also trying to be greener around my house as well as being healthier.

Not only are the products great but I now have a virtual shopping mall (MA just set up a partnership with Google) with thousands of partner stores. I also have added selling professionally designed websites to my business. There are so many ways to make money with this business.

Do you want to run your own Internet business, but don't have thousands for start-up costs? Want financial freedom? Check out my JSShopping website listed on my blog and contact me. I can help.

Blog Party

Kwana found this great site for Moms. If you want to promote your blog, website or just connect with other moms you should join the party.

Bargains for the day!!!

I am in a much better mood today!!! I had to go to the Mall to pick up a gift card at Abercrombie. Of course that is where all the tweens are shopping now. I can only go to one Mall for it. While I was there I found a rack that had shirts for $9.90. I purchased 2 for my daughter. That was bargain number one.

Next we stopped at Hollister and I got 2 shirts for $6.90 each!!! My daughter loved them all.

On the way out I have to go through Nordstroms to get to my car and I saw some Northface Jackets on sale. I was able to purchase a kids XL for $64.90 for myself. It is powder blue which brings out the blue in my eyes.

Then a gentleman asked if I need help. They didn't have my kid's size. He said "no problem, I can get them from another store and ship it to you free!!!"
Very few store sell black Northface winter coats on sale. When they are on sale they are never the size I need. They are usually $125 and I got them for $92.90. I buy them now for next year.

I only went to the Mall for a gift card but I never turn down a bargain.

OK, now on to my reality TV. The big twist on Big Brother with splitting the partners was great. I hope they don't vote Allison back in.

I've been watching the after dark on Showtime and Ryan said that Allison makes a lot of money counting cards playing blackjack. She works for a bookie in Boston he gives her 10 grand and she turns it into $60,000. She was telling Ryan that she can teach him how to do it and that she put $160,000 cash down on her house. She is a smart cookie but not smart enough for Big Brother.

New Yok Funk

I have been in a weird PMS funk for the last couple of days. I couldn't even blog yesterday because it really would have been very dark. Everybody I talk to lately is in this funk. I think we are all just ready for winter to end. Thank goodness I have a little mini vacation planned for Easter weekend to hopefully sunny Florida.

Today I am a little better. My knitting group didn't meet today that probably would have helped but I played in my usual tennis clinic and that always makes me happy. Wednesday are my favorite day during the week. It is all about me. Of course I still have to squeeze in a big old food shopping. I am off to making dinner. By the way my Italian style bread crumbs panko chicken was a success. The husband and kids loved it.

I just used egg whites and Pam on a cookie sheet. Can't get any easier than that.

Domestic Day

I am still working on my 5th load of laundry. Oh, joy!!! Out of all the things that I must do around the house I really do not like laundry. I have finally gotten my 7 and 11 year old to put their clothes away. It may take 3 days but at least I don't have to do it.

I also tried a new recipe today with panko italian bread crumbs and chicken breast. If it turns out good I will post this easy recipe. I need new healthy recipes. I am soooo sick of mine. If anybody has any please let send it to me.

Fantastic Dinner

It was an amazing dinner. It really was the best paella I ever had. I have to say the picture I showed is exactly what it looked like. There was also too much wine and dessert. I definitely paid for it last night. My stomach was killing me. It was still worth it!!!

Off to yet another child's functions. A little award dinner (pizza) for my son's basketball league. Well, at least I don't have to cook tonight.

Paella

So I am finally done with Willy Wonka and I can now have a life. My daughter did do a tricky thing. Some to the other oompa loompas were sneaking on stage during other parts and she did the same. She was on stage for an extra 30 seconds!!! We were so proud!!!

Tonight I am off to a friends house who has been promising me paella for the last 5 years!!! She says she makes the best paella . With a little wine I am sure it will be to me. Anything is better than another night of Willy Wonka.

I will let you know!!!
