The Duffles are gone!!! I miss Walking Dead!!!

The duffles left Sunday morning. As you can see the girl duffles are much more stuffed. So much so that my son rented out some space in his duffle for his sister. So no more packing and my husband and I just finish 3 seasons of Walking dead. I miss it so... What am I going to do with myself??? Well there is never a shortage of TV for me. True Blood started this week, True Crimes, Royal Pains, Burn Notice, Veep and a new show Graceland. Of course I still have my Housewives of OC and Jersey and Andy's Cohen's Watch what happened Live. That is just a little bit of what I am watching.  Can't wait for Newsroom to start too!!! Every summer the kids leave my husband and I do a marathon of some sort of popular show we missed live. One summer we did Breaking Bad. This year we are going to start Justified.

Let me know if I a missing something amazing on TV or Netflix.

Sleep Away Camp Packing - Thank You Target Online!!!

It's that time of year again the duffles need to be out on Sunday!!! This year I was in complete denial because it's my 6th year and think I don't need to get much. I was way wrong!!! I brought up the duffles and realize how many things were broken, missing and I forgot about all the stuff I don't let the kids bring home that need to be replace. Usually I go to a million stores looking for the best price driving all over town. This year I just shopped online at Target for most of my needs. First let me say If you shop at Target ever,  you should have the Red Card which offers you automatic 5% cash back and free shipping on all items.  These are just some of the things I bought.... small carpet, foam mattress topper, comforter, fan, conditioner, deodorant.... Not only that, but my son decided that this year he needed 2 foam mattress toppers, of course I already placed my order with Target. He begged and said that all the boys in his bunk have 2 because it is much more comfortable. I just went on the Target website ordered it and it came the same day as the original order. This was no extra cost to me. I never left the living room and I was able to catch up on all my TV shows that I DVR'd while shopping for camp.

Note in this picture all the clothing from both children have not be given to me yet. That is 2 other duffles. I also highly recommend the 2 gallon plastic bags to keep the kids organized. You just put in the shirts, pants, shower stuff.... The kids just take it out and place in the cubby the way you organized it.

I hope this helps some of you, especially you working parents who have no time to shop around.

Turning 50 and I don't know what I want to be when I grow up!!!

I haven't blogged in ages but I think now is the perfect time to get back to it. My kids are getting older and I do have more time on my hands. I have been looking for part-time work but how do you find a job when you have no idea what you want to do?

I have dabbled over the last couple of years with at home jobs but at the end of the day they ended up having to be available nights and weekends. I don't mind doing it occasionally,  but I have the mornings and afternoon free when kids are not around. I don't want to work when I could be at my kid's baseball, basketball games....

Currently as a stay at home mom my day is mostly being a taxi driver and event planner because my son is having his bar mitzvah in October. So where do we go from here???

I used to be in sales and sold high end fun stuff like luxury cruises and watches. I guess I can sell anything but I never really loved my jobs. I had great perks, like traveling the world and getting a Cartier watch for a really good price.

How do you get back into the work force when you were never thrilled with your career and you didn't love school so continuing education is not an option?

Everyone says to me "what are you passionate about?"  Can being a TV fanatic a be considered a passion?  What do I do with that?

I have a little invention I would love to research but checking to see if there is a patent already on it is very challenging. I thought you can google anything. I think the only things that pull up now are companies selling stuff. I never seem to get the answer I am looking for anymore.

I guess I am always looking for suggestions!!! Looking forward to your comments!!!

Bat Mitzvah Planning

OK so it's been a while. Work, volunteering, and planning a Bat Mitzvah have been taking over my life. It's been crazy. I think this is the time to start blogging again so I can get some easy and inexpensive ideas to make our party the best it could be. We have 3 months till the big day. Every one is already hired it is just the little details that are killing me now. Place settings, kids sweatshirts, postage stamps.... These are just a few of the little details that are taking up my time. Also try picking out 75 photos to show your kids life. OMG that is the hardest part. Also the dreaded list of who we are going to invite. That has been the hardest task. If it were up to me I would invite everybody but our room doesn't hold more that 25o and we are freaking out about space.   Our theme is Shopping with hot pink and brown. My daughters dress just came in we will see it Sunday. Any suggestions are welcome. Sorry for not blogging in a while. This may help me get through this busy yet wonderful time.

Wish List Wednesday - 5 Boro Bike Tour

I wish all moms to have a wonderful Mother's Day.

OK so I wished it wouldn't rain but that didn't work, however, I  still went and completed the 42+ miles with ease. I guess working out doing boot camp and spinning at the gym really paid off. Half of the people towards the end of the tour were walking up the Verrezano Bridge. I was able to ride with no problem. Hooray!!! Kudos to all that went through the wet and cold New York City with me Sunday. Next year we will believe the forecast.
